We are a network of Angel investors who work, live or have a strong interest in the startup ecosystem of Chandigarh and beyond. We are a structured body passionately driven and professionally managed.

Our Angels are entrepreneurs or professionals who have proven their abilities in the business world. They essentially are the individuals with a desire for good return on their investments, expanding their investment portfolio, and mentoring the early stage companies with their experience.

There are two channels of applying for a CAN membership.

a) Recommendation of an existing CAN Angel: If member Angel(s) at CAN know you personally or professionally, they can write a recommendation letter for your candidature. Along with recommendation letter, we need your detailed Bio / CV to consider your candidature. You must qualify a minimum of 5 recommendations by the existing CAN members to become a part of CAN.

b) Apply on our website: If you don’t know any existing CAN member, feel free to fill the membership form on our website and email us your CV on membership@chandigarhangelsnetwork.com

Upon receiving your application, the review process may take 2-4 weeks. If shortlisted, you will be required to sign up your membership with CAN.

Because of our significant outreach, the Angels are provided with the opportunity to meet and invest in good quality and investment ready companies. The companies who present at CAN Forum are pre-screened and vetted. As a group, we also tend to collaborate on things like due diligence and thereby mitigate the risk. Angels also enjoy the knowledge pool arising from diverse skill set and subject matter understanding everyone brings on table.

We organize at least one pitching session every month. We endeavour to present 4-5 quality startups at each pitching session. These startups are pre-screened by our secretariat. The pitching sessions are held in Chandigarh Tricity region as of now.

Our objective is to help startups through mentoring & guiding, in developing ideas into commercially viable ventures. We screen the startups which are ready for Angel investment. We make enrolled Angels invest in potential start-ups thereby, help them grow and generate good returns. CAN makes efforts to help the entire startup ecosystem with the support of Angels encouraging entrepreneurship by organizing hackathons, sensitization sessions and other startup events. The members also benefit through networking, fellowship and the great retreats.

There are no specific segments that we are targeting. We connect all ready and potential startups with Angels. Our endeavour would also be to promote at least one social startups per five investments.
