Why Has Blockchain Not Disrupted the World Yet

Kunal Nandwani, member of Chandigarh Angels Network and author of “Squaring the Blockchain Circle” pens down his thoughts regarding blockchain and its application in the world today. Having great knowledge about this subject, he first explains what blockchain is all about and how it came into existence, including the impact of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis.

Mr. Nandwani then argues that although he believes in the power of blockchain and the impact it can have, he is not in favour of how people perceive its influence. Organisations and governments around the world want to incorporate blockchain in their systems without properly analysing if it fits well. Promises were made solely based on this technology but were never achieved. 

This article enumerates the reasons why blockchain has not been what it was expected to be and how it has not disrupted the world till now. It also gives ways in which this technology can be leveraged to actually make a difference.
